“Thanks again for these excellent classes. We are very lucky to have you in the Okanagan.

Addy is showing me what an intelligent and considerate dog he has become in the last 4 months since Babs went blind. He rarely bumps her now.

Today we walked the forest trail here with Babs on leash and Addy off, with a friend of mine. Another group of walkers came into view and Addy stopped and turned towards me, waiting for direction. I called him and he came right away. Of course my focus was on Babs and keeping her moving which she did for about an hour which is huge!
I owe you a big thank-you for all the help and insight into him and me and giving such good advice”. ~ Hildi~

“A long time ago Joan worked with us with our first rescue, Poppy. She was 7 years old and had spent all those 7 years in a 4 x 4 box spitting out puppies.
Joan guided us with giving Poppy a loving home. We taught her how to play, how to walk up stairs, how to walk on a leash passed a parked car, how to overcome her many many fears.
The best was Joan taught Poppy and I the basics of tracking. It brought the best out of Poppy. She took to Joan’s encouragement and teaching like a trooper.
All of Joan’s caring and encouragement and teachings helped Poppy live a good 5 years longer.
Thank you Joan.”

“Pleasant fall afternoon with Crystal Darche and our crazy huskies playing and fetching balls in an open field; impossible without the control collars [ e-collars].

Thank-you Joan for recommending them and training us on using them!” ~Rick Cleghorn~

“Joan is a lifelong learner and has demonstrated a continued pursuit of knowledge over the course of her tracking career. Her knowledge of tracking and dog behaviour is exceptional and I have greatly benefited from her astute powers of observation and insights with my sporting breed.

Through Joans feedback, we have been able to work through many issues and have a clear course of action through specific tailored exercises. She balanced her training with honest, straight forward feedback and a respect for both the dog and the owner.” ~Lori Daniel and Baker

“…Joan, I’ve been meaning to send you a quick e-mail. The week has gone great and I feel WAY more equipped to handle Rambo. It has been way calmer with him learning PLACE. And I now know what to do when we come across other dogs. I was at a complete loss before. Thank you for giving me such great guidance and teaching me how to get better control overall. The lessons with you have been a complete game changer. I was blown away by your knowledge and truly found it helpful to have some background information on GSD’s as well as explanations on how he thinks, why he does what he does etc. Rambo actually reacted to my husband a couple nights ago when he got home from work and walked in the door. I learned from you that Rambo wants to know that I’ve got this and am the leader and he doesn’t need to deal with who is walking through the door. It caught me off guard because obviously he knows my husband. But Rambo is definitely becoming more aware and protective and I think aware of this being our home. But it just reinforced how much I need to be in control and make sure he knows that. He feels uncertain if I let him get away with stuff. He feels safe and calm when I don’t. The next night he was totally fine when Bryan walked in. I also love how you explained how fearless they are and not only won’t back down from a dangerous situation but want at it. It really does help when training them to understand the breed.”
Thank-you
